In Chemistry, as also in Surgery, we know from the study of the Sushruta, the Hindus excelled other nations. Sushruta was the first surgeon to perform plastic surgery and replaced a soldier’s nose, rebuilt from the tissues and skins from his thigh. Plastic surgery was often practiced in ancient India . In fact, surgical operations have been carried out in India for over 2000 years. His book, the Sushruta Samhita , is on the teachings of Dhanvantari, who lived much earlier.

It contains 184 chapters, 120 of which deal with surgery, 64 with medicine. The book describes five types of bones, 8 kinds of operations, 14 types of bandages and 121 surgical instruments. We know from the accounts that have been left to us by Megasthenes, the Greek ambassador, who lived in the court of Chandragupta in the fourth century before Christ that Alexander the Great used to keep Hindu physicians in his camp because he preferred them to Greek physicians. Nearchus and Arrian spoke highly of the wonderful healing powers of the Arabs, who learnt it in India , and Leonardo da Pisa introduced it into Italy and several countries of Europe in the thirteenth century. In fact, Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, all these were first taught in India .

  Great Masters Voice

Writing on this topic makes me think of the past glory of India , our holy motherland. The civilization and culture of ancient India were truly glorious and grand. India has contributed her culture to the Western nations in various branches of knowledge. The world owes its first lessons in Geometry and Algebra (Vijaganita) to India . The 47th proposition of Euclid : A square on the hypotenuse of a rectangular triangle is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides-was ascribed to Pythagoras , but it was known in India centuries before Pythagoras was born. It is mentioned in the Sulvasutras of the Vedic age. Algebra was introduced into Europe from India . From researches, we have come to know that Hippocrates , the father of modern medicine of Europe, who lived about 400 B.C., borrowed his Materia Medica from India .

THOUGHTS FOR INDIA

FOR OUR CHILDREN, OUR PARENTS & TEACHERS

The Arabs learnt these from India and carried them into the West. The world owes decimal notation to India . It was unknown to the Greeks and Romans; and Arithmatic as a practical science would have been impossible without decimal notation. The world owes its first lessons in Medicine to India . Although there is a general belief that Europe derived her knowledge of medicine from Greece , it is not correct. In various branches of science, philosophy, art and music, the Hindus were the first teachers. For instance, the Greeks had five notes of music at first, but the Hindus developed seven notes of Music and had three octaves long before the Greeks had them. During the Vedic period, Sama Veda used to be sung and chanted with those notes. Wagner ’s music, with its special motifs, was indebted by Wagner to Indian music. Schopenhauer , the great German philosopher, had a conversation with Wagner on this subject, from which we learn that the great German musician Wagner studied the Latin-translation of the Sanskrit science of music, and that he learnt from the Sanskrit science of music those principal motifs, which have made his music so original and so wonderful. In other branches of knowledge, also India developed her culture to a great extent, for instance, in Astronomy (Aryabhata - 476 A.D.), and in developing the theory of evolution of the world out of Prakriti, the eternal cosmic Energy as described in the Sankhya system of philosophy.
All these different branches of study were highly developed and advanced in India centuries before Christ; and even today, the European scholars admit this fact. I can quote from Sir Monier Williams , who in his book entitled Brahminism and Hinduism says, “the Hindus were Spinozaites more than 2,000 years before the existence of Spinoza ; and Darwinians many centuries before Darwin , the evolutionists. Many centuries before the doctrine of evolution, had been accepted by the scientists of our time, and well before any word like “evolution” existed in any language of the world. His remarks were correct, because we learn from the philosophy of Sankhya that an extra-cosmic personal God, who is sitting on his throne above the clouds, did not create the whole world. But that there was one eternal cosmic Energy which was called by the name of “Prakriti” (the same as Latin Procreatrix), the creative Energy of the universe.

This energy is indestructible and uncreatable, yet changeable. It is one and enternal. Today Western science admits that there is only one eternal cosmic energy, the sum total of which neither increases nor decreases. The modern days “Laws of Thermodynamics”, state that “Energy can neither be created, nor destroyed.”

This fact was proven by Kapila, the founder of the Sankhya system of philosophy in the seventh century before Christ. We had our Newton in Aryabhatta who lived about 476 A.D., and who declared that the earth was moving upon its own axis round the sun. Long before the Europeans knew the Copernican system of Astronomy, this aryabhatta’s system was taught in India , and it was Aryabhatta who first declared that the law of gravitation existed. He called it Madhyakarshana, i.e., attraction towards the centre.  Early Indian astronomers did not have telescopes as we do. They had to rely on meditation, accuracy of their eyesight to watch the night sky. Nevertheless, these astronomers were able to make accurate measurements and had started decimal system of numerals. Aryabhata was a great mathematician. His value forp, or ‘pi’, of 3.1416, is still used today.

We had our Shakespeare in Kalidas; we had our philosopher greater than Kant and Hegel in Sankaracharya, greater than Hume and Berkeley in Vashistha; and we had materialistic philosophy in the system of Kanada. The atomic theory of Kanada is a wonder to the Western minds, because in such an early age, i.e. in the pre-buddhistic period, Kanada proved to the world that this external universe has been made of minute particles of matter- ‘anu’ (atoms), which are indestructible. Again, we find that these atoms of Kanada were not the final particles of the material world. However, particles finer than the atoms were also discovered by Kapila, and he called them “Tanmatras”; which would be similar to the electrons and protons of modern science. The electrons are the force centres of negative electricity and the protons are of positive electricity. Such great advancement was made in different branches of knowledge and science in the pre-Buddhistic age which lasted between 1500 B.C. and 600 B.C.

Then in moral and spiritual lines, the Hindus were the first teachers in the world. Centuries before the Christian era, long before Moses gave the Ten Commandments to the nomadic tribes of Israel, when the European nations were eating raw animal flesh, living in caves and forests, tattooing their bodies, wearing animal skins, the civilization of India was in its high glory. The dawn of civilization first dawned not upon the horizon of Greece , Europe, or Arabia; but upon the horizon of India . India is not a country of today, but she had the sublime teachings of Vedanta long before the time of Moses , when Krishna sang the Bhagavat Gita in the battlefield of Kurukshetra. All those who came in touch with India were benefited. During the Buddhistic period, as we know from the historical dates of Asoka , Buddhist preachers were sent out to different parts of the then civilized world, from Siberia to Ceylon , and from China to Egypt . Buddhist monks travelled and preached the gospel of love for all. They spoke of and the highest ethics of humanitarianism in foreign countries. Those teachings of Buddha were afterwards emphasized in the teachings of Jesus the Christ . Christianity can be traced back to the Hindu ideals in many of its doctrines and dogmas. Ernest Renan has said in his “Life of Jesusthat the principal part of Christianity i.e., Baptism was not known among the Jews of that time, but it came from the Ganges . In important 17 years of life of Jesus , is explained in the book called “ Jesus lived in India ”. Jesus took the initiation of “Kriya Yoga” from BabaJi in Badrinath,  Himalayas .

India , today, once again, is surging ahead with revolutionary growth in the field of economics, intellects, sociological and spirituality. There is an urgent National need to bring about a radical break through in the educational system of the country. We have to overcome the impediments of the present modus operandi and build futuristic institutions of tomorrow. Tremendous potential lies in the human brain. The present systems of education are not ignorant, nor has it been brought to the knowledge of parents. The system of education therefore, is not equipped enough to tap the child’s ability optimally.  The effective development of mind power and brainpower within a nation will decide the quality of the human resource; and thereby the prosperity of the country. We have to change the course of India in the coming decades by filling our “Mother India”; with Children with the courage of a lion, with a sense of philanthropy, and passionately involved in creativity.

We have to be visionaries and then build this (Bharat) India of ours for tomorrow. Far too long, we have been happy with our past glories, historic achievements, our few Nobel laureates and few International leaders.   (One Buddha, one Ramakrishna, one Vivekananda, one Tagore, one Jaggedness Chandra Bose, one Taj Mahal, Basilica of Bom Jesus, one Takshasheela, one Nalanda; but that is all past.) What about now, what about today? Why can’t we build some more great souls like Vivekananda, Paramhansa Yogananda , Ramana Maharishi, C.V. Raman , Tagore , Dr. J.C. Bose, Amritya Sen and Mother Teresa, Kapila, Aryabhata,  Sushruta for tomorrow?

Keeping in mind the rich Vedantic heritage, the messages from ‘The Masters from India and around the world; Victorious Kidss Educares was started in 6th 0f Jan 1997 as a magical start of a learning revolution in India ; aiming to sweep across the world The crystallisation of the framework was initiated in our mind by the powerful thoughts of Swami Vivekananda for the children of our country; I quote,

“Every person is born divine. What we want is western science coupled with Vedanta, Brahmacharya, and Shraddha for ones own self and self respect.”

Swami Vivekananda

Victorious Kidss Educares is an institution with a difference, which prepares children to become once again personalities of International recognitions and importance. We are preparing “Mentally Enhanced Superiorly Created Futuristic Children (MESCFC)” of tomorrow – website > www.vkidss.org <.

The training for babies starts from pre-natal stage (From the mother’s womb – Abhimanyu concept). We continue to train these children with “Our Rich Heritage Of Vedanta And Western Science” to face an entirely different and demanding world; decades from today. The education-caring will continue to guide the children not only up to the Diploma Programme by IBO (International Baccalaureate Organisation of Geneva (12th Grade), but also to initiate these children into an exploring world of research and self- inquiry right up to the Masters and Ph D. This would be by creating a place like “NALANDA” – of yesteryears within Pune, India; an arena of International World College scenario (like bringing in University of California & Los Angeles - UCLA, University of San Diego UCSD, Harvard, Boston or ‘North Western Edu’ of Chicago).

Through a series of visions as visualised in deep meditation), the concept of birth of a Vedantic institution giving the best of latest and western education, led to, once again, conceptualising the rebirth of our ancient heritage of ‘Nalanda’.

We need schools, which are “Challenging for the Human Brain” and are yet exciting to go to. Where learning is not a pain and where teachers are trained facilitators, who develop :

Each child into what he or she truly is – ‘a genius’. Remember Vivekananda’s guidance to us - “Every person is born divine? Our children should start with the discovery “I AM THE ONE - AHAM BRAHMASHMI ”.)

The deepest desire in all parents’ heart is to see ones child achieve success in life.  To make this happen a group of educators and neuroscientists from the western world of present time - such as Glenn Doman and others discovered that education must begin at birth. Buckminister Fuller , renowned early brains develop mentalist, says:

“All children are born genius and we take the first six years of their life degeniusing them.”

Victorious Kidss Educares with the fore knowledge of stress in children and problems of the present educational system; had been looking for a board of education, which could help children learn not for the sake of learning, but for the love of learning. International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) with it’s headquarter in Geneva , has presented such opportunities for the children of the world. Education at Victorious Kidss Educares, is an inquiry based learning in which the child learns what & when she wants to learn at her own pace.

The International Baccalaureate Organisation aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Towards this end, IBO works with schools, governments and international organization to develop challenging programme of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage student to become active, compassionate and life long learners who understand that other people with their differences can also be right.

“Anyone can count how many seeds are there in an apple, but can we count how many apples are there in one seed?”

This beautiful statement of Ralph Waldo Emerson enlightens us of the immense potential, which is hidden in every child. Rabindranath Tagore believed,

 “Every child comes with the message that God is not yet tired of Man”;

Implies that all children are born in the images of God, and not, as we think, in the images of the parent.

All great thinkers, educators and spiritual leaders have come out with the same truth. Swami Vivekananda in his message to the world, under the heading of “Philosophy of education”, a century ago, had displayed his realisation that

‘Education is the manifestation of perfection already in man’. He had reiterated and had guided us all; that ‘knowledge is inherent in man, no knowledge comes from outside’.

We send children to school today, to get educated. We do this primarily to let the children learn how to do the 5 Rs:

Responsibility to Our Country & Family

Research Skill

But If we do a careful study, we can all see that; due to immense peer and academic pressures from the school, our children end up doing just the opposite. Our children do not get that free scope for growth. The curious bright child of yours and mine, enter schools with billions of questions in their mind; but by the end of the 10th standards of school system, develops a hatred for same Reading , wRiting and aRithmatic. What good is this system of education?

Amartya Sen, after being awarded the Economics Nobel Prize, was asked by the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, “Why is our country’s economy down?” The Nobel Laureate had replied, “Successive Governments have neglected ‘the early child education, and thereby experienced lack of human resource; and hence the poorer economy.

Swami Vivekananda continues with his wisdom for the future of ‘Mankind’,

“You cannot teach a child anymore than you can teach a plant how to grow!” Plant develops its own nature. The child also develops its own nature. The child teaches itself. We help the plant by loosening its soil, by providing the right manure, sunlight and protect it until it grows.

Same way, we can help the child by creating an environment of learning freedom. Where children learn to think, wonder, inquire, into this big world outside of him.

At VKE, we create an environment, where your child learns to love to learn everything, and does it over and over again to show you how well he does it.

Here, we create a home away from home for every child. We are here to help children and families to discover the vast potential that every child is born with. The school is very attractive and is the best party in town for the children of all age groups.

We welcome you to our world of learning, to the world of children of Victorious Kidss Educares with delightful spiritual characteristics, for which we all love children. Visit us.

Best Wishes to the best teachers in this world “To our Mothers”; and to our millennium Fathers & Grand Parents.
